Reimagining Work Through Equity, Leadership, and Structural Change.
At Zanetta Hartley Consulting, we partner with organisations to transform how workplaces understand power, gender, leadership, and culture.
Our work sits at the intersection of evidence-based research, feminist leadership practice, and practical organisational strategy. We support organisations to move beyond performative diversity initiatives toward meaningful structural change that improves workplace equity, culture, and performance.
Because when workplaces are equitable, they are not only fairer — they are more innovative, resilient, and high-performing.
Zanetta Hartley is a specialist practitioner and consultant with expertise in family violence, gender equality and workforce capability development.
Her work supports organisations to strengthen their responses to family violence, build workforce capability and address the structural drivers of violence against women through gender equality initiatives.
Zanetta brings experience across the family violence and community services sector, working with practitioners, leaders and organisations to strengthen practice and develop systems that support safe and effective responses to violence.
Her work draws on feminist theory, trauma-informed practice and analysis of power, recognising that family violence and gender inequality are shaped by broader social, cultural and organisational structures.
Zanetta Hartley Consulting provides expertise across several areas including:
Family Violence Practice and Workforce Development
Supporting organisations to strengthen capability in responding to family violence, including training aligned with the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management Framework (MARAM).
Training Design and Facilitation
Designing and delivering tailored training programs that support practitioners and organisations to translate policy frameworks into everyday practice.
Gender Equality and Organisational Change
Working with organisations to address gender inequality in workplace structures, culture and leadership, and to strengthen organisational responses to gender-based violence.
Reflective Practice and Feminist Supervision
Facilitating reflective spaces that support practitioners to critically examine power, practice and the impacts of working in the family violence sector.
Zanetta Hartley Consulting’s work is grounded in several core principles:
Feminist and gender analysis
Recognising gender inequality as a key driver of violence against women and examining how power operates within systems, organisations and relationships.
Trauma-informed practice
Supporting learning and organisational change in ways that recognise the impacts of trauma on both victim survivors and practitioners.
Practice-focused capability development
Ensuring training and consulting work supports real-world practice change rather than theoretical knowledge alone.
Collaborative organisational change
Working alongside organisations to develop solutions that reflect their workforce structure, service context and strategic priorities.
Working with Organisations
Zanetta Hartley Consulting partners with organisations seeking to strengthen their response to family violence, gender equailty, and build safer, more equitable workplaces.
At Zanetta Hartley Consulting, we believe that:
• equity is fundamental to healthy organisations
• leadership requires critical reflection on power
• meaningful change happens through sustained engagement
• organisations have the capacity to build workplaces that are both equitable and high performing.
This philosophy guides everything we do — from consulting engagements to supervision, training, and thought leadership.
Zanetta Hartley Consulting is committed to supporting organisations to contribute to a society where gender equality is embedded in workplaces and systems respond effectively to family violence.
Through consulting, training and advisory work, we aim to support organisations to develop capable workforces, equitable cultures and stronger responses to violence.
